Meet the Doctors
Dr. Andrew “Andy” Tran
“Every patient should be treated as if they were a member of our family,” a sacred principle that Dr. Sam Williams has entrusted in me and as such, I will continue to provide the friendly, quality and respectful care you have come to expect from this office over the years.
A Florida native, I grew up in Tampa where much of my family still resides. My wife and I have two young children and a sweet labradoodle named Charlie. I currently reside just outside the north Orlando area. Aside from work and family, I enjoy archery, playing guitar, working out, and sipping fine whiskey. I am a proud fan and supporter of the U of F Gators. Go Gators!!

Dr. Van Mai Mattison
With a passion for education, teaching and caring for others, Dr. Mattison has made her home at the Eyecare Center of Leesburg examining and treating patients from infants to the elderly. Dr. Mattison holds a strong background in family eyecare, providing comprehensive vision services; soft, RGP and specialty scleral contact lens evaluations; and other vision-related services. This includes screening, treating and co-managing conditions such as dry eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy.
In addition to her love of pediatric eye care, Dr. Mattison is dedicated to the importance of providing children with a strong and healthy visual foundation. As a participating member of the InfantSee program, Dr. Mattison provides volunteer free one-time comprehensive eye exams to infants 6 to 12 months of age to aid in the early detection of ocular diseases and irregular visual development in infants.
A graduate from the Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Mattison achieved outstanding contact lens service recognition and is a current member of the American and Florida Optometric Associations. To Dr. Mattison, all education is valuable. She draws from her skills and education developed at the University of California, Davis (where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and preliminary California mathematics teaching credential) to educate both herself and her patients on the latest treatments, research and services available to improve the lives of those in her care.
When she’s not working, Dr. Mattison enjoys singing, cooking, traditional and digital art, the piano, guitar, pyrography, DC & Marvel heroes, crocheting and clothing design. Despite her aversion to travel, Dr. Mattison has traveled to 49 of the 50 states (not Alaska), Canada, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and spent a year teaching English in South Korea. After 30 years living in California, Dr. Mattison now happily resides in Lake County, Florida where she enjoys the summer thunderstorms and blazing heat.
